In line with the Town Hall's Department of Culture programme to increase the number of cultural sites, we're happy to announce the opening of our municipal museum which Will gather a collection of objects used in farming and fishing, as well as other tools and implements not necessarily used for productive work but which are helpful in making us understand our predecessors' way of life a little better.

This great project has been achieved thanks to the citizens of Estepona who contributed all the interesting material and art-pieces for both halls.

We'd like to thank the Trasmediterranea company for their generous assistance as well as the Agriculture and Fishing Departments of our municipal council.

Uniting and combining these efforts we will have achieved the creation of a continous flow of visitors to our museums, as well as organized visits by schools and other education centres from our town and other areas. Here they will be taught about the most important aspects relating to the exhibited material, complemented by helpful information leaflets and the projection of films and slides on the most relevant themes.
